About Us

We're building the AI infrastructure for grading and educational analytics in Africa. Our mission is to help instructors, schools, and governments automate evaluation, improve accuracy, and scale feedback — starting with handwritten exams.

Our Story

We've known each other for nearly 20 years — since boarding school in Nigeria where we shared a dorm. Over the years, we've studied engineering, built side projects, earned master's degrees from the same university (at different times), and even lived in each other's homes.

Today, we're co-founders working to solve one of the biggest hidden problems in education: grading.

Why We're Building This

Many educators are stretched thin. They teach large classes, manage multiple responsibilities, and still have to grade hundreds of handwritten responses — often under pressure and without enough support. We've spoken to teachers who stay up late marking, skip breaks, or fall behind because the workload is simply too much.

We’ve also been on the other side — as students who waited weeks for results, received inconsistent feedback, or faced errors in grading that were never corrected. These problems are widespread, yet the tools that exist today were not built with these challenges in mind.

That’s why we’re building a system designed to handle real-world exam scripts — handwritten, scanned, and sometimes imperfect. Our aim is to lighten the load for teachers, make grading faster and more consistent, and ensure that students get timely and fair feedback.

What We're Working On

Educators upload questions and student responses as PDFs or images. Our AI grades each answer, returns per-question feedback aligned with custom rubrics, and student performance insights.

We’re currently piloting the platform with early testers and have done over 20 instructor interviews and surveys to validate the problem. Full deployments in universities and schools are part of our next phase.
